Rise and grind, fellow hustlers!
It’s two hours before sunrise, so it’s time to wake up so you can get that sweet, sweet cash at the expense of your health, well-being, and eternal climb to pad your wallet!
Perhaps we can buy some more worthless trash today? Maybe a fancy new thing to replace that only sorta new thing we already had! That’ll be sure to impress.
And make no mistake, all the hype and showy advertising is solely for the attention and usually selling you stuff. After all, you may not have your passive income stream laid down yet, but that’s only because you’re doing it wrong!
Buy my book!
Buy my system!
Buy my course!
Be a part of my “Mastermind” group, where I will teach you the secrets of my wealth generation techniques for the low, low price of only $50!
Of course, I’m not going to mention that the introductory price is only for an introductory course.
Now that I have you in my sales pipeline, I’ll be more than happy to bleed you out for virtual seats at my conferences, my exclusive 12 Point Plan E-Book, and a one-on-one coaching sesh with me! We need to have that one-on-one!
Now that I know that you’re willing to pay, it’ll be so much easier for me to sell you my products once I know your hopes, dreams, aspirations, fear of not having a roof over your child’s head, that you’re behind on your car payment, and that this is what you’re hoping will turn your life around!
Rise and grind, hustlers!
Why aren’t you working 20 hour days, 7 days a week? You can sleep when you’re dead. You couldn’t possibly need a little rest and relaxation, so you don’t completely burn yourself out in six months!
I mean, yeah, you’ve seen my selfies on the ‘gram when I was on that boat in Cancun. But hey, that’s my little reward to myself for grinding so hard! And it was totally a business trip! I got those killer pics from my photoshoot and had a virtual meetup with my Inner Circle members.
Oh, you’re not an Inner Circle member? You’re missing out. That’s where the real magic happens, after all. Only $2000 and you can join our exclusive group. Can’t afford that? That’s okay! That’s just another goal for you to crush on your way to financial independence and luxury! Because that will totally fill the void and make you happy!
They say that money can’t buy happiness! Do you know who says that? Poor people who don’t have any money to flex. But then again, if I actually had money, I would know that money only solves financial problems, which can make someone happy if that’s all that’s missing from their life. But it’s usually not, which is why I have to keep up this act, keep acting happy and outgoing regardless of who I actually am buried under all this superficial production!
Because if you think I’m happy, you’re going to be much more likely to think that I can help you be happy! And then you will give me more of your money in exchange for some false hope!
…and pause right there…
Hustle culture is total bullsh*t from the ground up.
And it always has been.
Do you really need someone to remind you that you need more money? Is it necessary to have someone hyping themselves up about how hard they grind to be “inspirational?”
No. It’s a sales pitch. It’s a method of creating urgency in the consumer to tune in and act when the hype man trots out a product, system, or membership to sell.
Do you know who else hustles and grinds? Literally, everyone that works.
Unless you are fortunate enough to love your work and what you do, it’s going to be a grind.
And guess what? Working a job that you love is still a grind at times! It can get mighty tedious doing the groundwork that needs to be done over and over and over again before you’re able to dive into the things that you’re really passionate about. So there are good days, and there are bad days. And the bad days working a dream job can be just as garbage as a bad day working a not dream job.
Besides that, working hard doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get ahead. If that were true, every sweatshop employee would be a millionaire. But they aren’t, are they? No, to get ahead, you have to be smart. You have to learn your industry, its nuances, how things work on an employee level, how to expand your knowledge, and turn what you have into more.
And it always needs to be more, because how else will you keep up with this inflation? With that bullsh*t 2% cost of living raise to meet that 5.9% cost of living increase? Because it’s not like your employer wants to pay you fair market rates. Well, some do. Some strive to be fair. A lot don’t, but some do.
So what else can you do but hustle and grind? Or at least hustle until it grinds you into dust.
But I don’t have a choice…
I know. A lot of people don’t. People like the parasite that I emulated at the beginning of this article know you don’t have a choice. That’s what you call a captive audience. Because hey, here’s a little bit of hope. I’m going to dangle it in front of you, just out of your reach, to ensure that you keep moving down that sales funnel until you’re ready to pull the trigger on my more expensive course! You can always put it on a credit card if you don’t have another way to pay for it. It’s fine. You’ll be making your money back in no time. And if it doesn’t work, it’s clearly your fault. You didn’t do something right.
Not everything you do needs to have a profit-generating motive. Adding money to the mix changes things up dramatically because you’re now at the behest of the person with the money, in most cases.
There’s this constant suggestion to turn your hobby into a profit-oriented venture. Oh, you craft? Do you have an Etsy shop? You’re really good at art. Maybe you should do commissions to earn a little extra money on the side! Oh, you like video games? Have you thought about streaming?
It’s just not necessary. And it turns a hobby straight into a job.
Do yourself a favor. Stay away from this spectacle of hustle culture and more more more. It’s not real, not honest, and it’s not healthy.
You are not a robot that can just work 100 hours a week and not spectacularly breakdown. Robots can’t even do that. They need maintenance and upkeep to ensure they stay in working order. And so do you.
So, yeah, hustle culture is toxic. End of.
